What does the work tell us about right and wrong?

The number one thing Phil Robertson stresses is that God is good and can do amazing things. Phil admits in the book that he was not always a holy man.  In fact Phil admits that he did not find God untill he was 29 years old, and now he's "trying to make up for lost time"(Robertson 189). An example of what is bad that Phil shows in the book is stealing. When Phil was a commercial fisherman people used to steal fish out of his nets. Phil then chased them away with his shotgun, but it never seemed to work, they just kept coming back and stealing his fish. Later while reading the Bible Phil read Romans 12:17-21, where it says:" Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good." Phil then decided to do it God's way and when he caugh people stealing out of his nets he GAVE them fish for free. This shows that if you be nice to your enemies and "kill them with kindness" everything will be okay
